1. U3A have one member with an amazing Roberts Tandem. Since the loss of her husband 2 years ago and suffering with Sciatica, she needs a lead rider to join her for their rides. She used to ride 20 to 30 miles but admits to being out of practice.
2. A second member is registered blind. He used to ride a tandem but has not ridden for a few years. His sight allows him to see the landscape but very little detail or midrange clarity. U3A need someone with a tandem who would be willing to take this member out on rides. Alternatively someone who would be willing to loan a Tandem and U3A would find someone to ride with him. This member has some wonderful stories of his youth climbing signposts on his walks to read the directions.
