WELCOME TO THE DORSET CYCLISTS' NETWORK CAMPAIGNING FOR A CYCLE-FRIENDLY DORSET
DCN promotes cycling as environmentally-friendly transport because it improves health, reduces air pollution and helps to relieve road congestion. We are not anti-car; many of us are car users who try to use a bike instead whenever possible in order to reduce our carbon footprint. We encourage our members to ride safely and with consideration for other road users. We work with local authorities trying to get improved conditions for cyclists, both for their safety and to attract more people to using bikes as transport. We speak mainly for people who cycle to work, school, the shops and other journeys including those who cycle for leisure Any queries? See Frequently Asked Questions or contact us
LATEST NEWS Help raise funds for adapted bikes and trikes for charities across Dorset How will the funds be used? “We want to give back this gift of freedom by funding as many accesssible tandem bikes and solo trikes as we can. We want to provide these to local Dorset charities so that as many people as possible can benefit from the freedom to ride. We also plan to set up a repair fund to cover the maintenance and any safety equipment.” JustGiving link. Are you interested in getting involved with the DCN’s activities?
